Prosthetics and Orthotics
Available in Central Australia, Mildura and Broome
Our Prosthetics & Orthotics service at Therapy Tracks utilises modern technology to provide an innovative service for our clients through regular clinics in the remote areas of Central Australia and around Broome.
We provide artificial prosthetic limbs (prostheses) to amputees by scanning the residual limb to create a custom fitted socket using CAD/CAM and 3D printed technology. We provide braces and splints (orthoses) to support, correct, or aid the function of people with various conditions of the neuro, muscular and skeletal systems according to their needs and goals.
Prosthetic and Orthotics designs are constantly improving. Combined with the introduction of lighter materials (like carbon fibre), functionality, comfort and fit are ahead of where they were even five years ago.
We are committed to providing our patients with the most up-to-date assistive devices available; we are always assessing new and innovative products.
Lower Limb Prosthetics
EXCEEDING EXPECTIONATIONS
We make use of innovative 3D scanning technology as well as traditional manufacturing methods to provide prosthetic sockets to amputees. We have experience utilising a wide variety of prosthetic components to ensure the device enables our clients to meet their goals and is robust enough to handle the harsh outback environments.
Foot Orthotics
TREATING HIGH RISK FOOT AND MUSCULOSKELETAL CONDITIONS
We use a 3D scanner to take a digital impression of clients’ feet. This reduces the need for messy plaster casting and provides an accurate representation to fabricate custom insoles for a range of conditions including the high risk foot, pes plants (flat feet), plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma.
Ankle Foot Orthosis
IMPROVING YOUR FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY WITH ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
An Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) aims to make standing and walking easier by controlling foot, angle, and tibial position; accommodating a joint position; compensating for muscle weakness; and reducing pain.
All our AFOs are bespoke, based on each client’s exact measurements and requirements. Our Clinician will assess your needs and take a cast or 3D scan, which will be sent to our clinical partners to manufacture the most appropriate orthosis according to our prescription for your clinical presentation and goals.
Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis
TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE YOUR MOBILITY
We provide a wide range of custom Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses (KAFOs), utilising traditional materials such as steel uprights with leather to lightweight pre-preg carbon fibre with stance control joints.
Our experienced Orthotist will complete a biomechanical assessment of your condition and provide recommendations based on best practice treatment options.
